New PB: 125m DNF!

I had a great day today, finally touching the other side of the pool at the 125m mark. And I even did it without my lovely monofin. Yes, my leg kick is kind of funny... But it seems to do the job ;)

Arms and legs were pretty lactic afterwards, but that's okey. It was a truely great dive and I'll try to keep this feeling for the next weeks.

I wanna send a big thanks to both Anna and Martin for the company and help with the training, it's been great! Aarhus here we come...

  1. Holy crap Boo! Fantastic! Do you think you might need more weight near your butt and less on your neck? You seem to not be entirely balanced. Add a smooth suit to this and correct balance and you'll be closer to 150.

  2. Congatulations E! Great dive. As Daan says a suit is really a must. A did some tests two days ago and with my RS1 suit I can do 15m pushoffs and I`m still not perfectly balanced. What I would try if I were you would be to adjust bodyposition. A persons balance shift a little after the armstroke. Try to straighten out your neck abit after the armstroke. It seems you are almost looking backwards. Try looking straight down. I wish I could have a coach and a buddy now. No max attempts for ages. Luckily I`m going to Nordic Deep:-)

  3. Congratulations!
I'm sure you can make 150m DNF if you play a bit with your balancing.
Good luck with your max attempts and competitions.

  4. Nice Dive!
    Long dive too! 3'02"!

Though I agree with the balance and suit part, I disagree with head advice. The head in down position relaxed much more, it's even a hypnotising position. Your speed is a bit slow, but you know what speed your body is trained for. Have a good fun and focus at the WC!

  5. Congratulations!
3min 02s, that's something! 30s/25m is about a normal DNF speed, and then 3 min=150m. With a (Orca) suit you would get more speed without extra work, and longer glidings.
Your have a special kicking style, not a standard one, maybe it's a natural for you.
    Good luck for Århus WC!
